PDP, PC & Apni Party Are BJP’s A, B & C Teams: MLA, Ali Sagar

Srinagar, 23 July: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference on Thursday intensified it’s attack on the opposition parties, alleging that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Peoples Conference and Apni Party were A, B and C teams of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) respectively.

This was stated by JKNC’s General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar, who’s also Member Legislative Assembly from the Khanyar constituency.

According to the JKNC statement, Ali Sagar said this in a meeting which was attended to by other party leaders.

Sagar alleged that these three parties “enabled the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35-A and are now attempting to rewrite history.”

Addressing a meeting at the party’s Srinagar headquarters, Sagar said it was the PDP’s “opportunistic alliance with the BJP in 2015 that opened the floodgates for the saffron party’s political expansion in Jammu and Kashmir”.

Sagar added: “Those who escorted the BJP into the corridors of power, legitimised its political footprint and enabled the assault on Jammu and Kashmir’s constitutional identity have no moral, political or ideological right to lecture the National Conference on Articles 370 and 35-A. They stand exposed before the people.”

Sagar accused the Sajad Lone-led People’s Conference of currying favours and being a favourite of the BJP.

“Sajad Lone is the BJP’s poster boy in Kashmir,” the statement said.
