Voices Concern Over Civilian Deaths in Palestine, Lebanon & Iran
The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference [JKNC] President Farooq Abdullah Thursday voiced concern over the endless wars, cycles of violence, human rights excesses and use of force in Palestine, Lebanon, Iran and other parts of the world.
According the JKNC statement, Farooq Abdullah made these remarks while addressing a gathering in Srinagar. He expressed concern over the loss of civilian lives, particularly of women and children in Palestine, Lebanon and Iran.
He expressed disappointment over the destruction of hospitals, schools, universities, power stations, energy arteries and essential infrastructure in the entire West Asia during the recent war.
Farooq Abdullah, as per the statement, urged Muslim countries to unite and resolve their difference through negotiations.
“There is lack of unity. The absence of collective action within the Muslim world was ultimately being borne by poor and ordinary people,” Farooq Abdullah said.
He appealed to Muslim countries to strengthen mutual cooperation and speak collectively in favour of the protection of oppressed communities.
“Muslim countries must learn from the difficult circumstances confronting the world today and strengthen unity, cooperation and coordination among themselves,” he added.
