England seamer Ollie Robinson was adjudged player of the match for taking eight wickets in the Leeds Test. Robinson completed a five-wicket haul, 51-5, in the first and took three more wickets, 29-3, in the second innings.

For Pakistan, Abdullah Shafique top scored with 61 in the first innings while wicket-keeper batter Mohammad Rozwan made scratch 41 in the second innings.

In the second innings, Azan Awais, Imam-ul-Haq, Saud Shakeel, Salman Ali Agha and Shan Masood failed to make any impact with the bat.

England beat Pakistan in all three departments—batting, bowling and fielding.

Salman Ali Agha captained the Pakistan Test side in the absence of their star batter, Babar Azam, who injured his finger during the West Indies series and a practice game in England. He was ruled out of the Leeds Test but is expect to be back for the remaining two tests.

All Pakistani pacers struggled to take wickets at regular intervals. Only spinner Ali Usman bowled with some control to claim a five-for, 95-5. The 33-year-old left arm spinner took six wickets in a recently concluded test match against the West Indies in Port of Spain. He has 11 wickets in three tests.

For England, four batters made half centuries; Harry Brook (91), Jordon Cox (73), skipper Joe Root (66) and Dan Lawrence (51).
