Former cabinet minister and senior National Conference leader Ali Mohammad Sagar on Wednesday met multiple delegations at the party’s Srinagar headquarters to assure them that the Omar Abdullah-led Government was working to improve the economic conditions of artisans and tourism stakeholders, a statement issued by JKNC said.
MLA Khanyar told the delegates that the welfare of artisans, traders and those associated with tourism was one of the priorities of the current government, the statement said.
“We are working to improve livelihoods and economic conditions of one and all while advancing the welfare of common people, artisans, craftsmen, traders and those associated with the tourism sector,” Sagar told the delegates.
MLA Hazratbal Salman Ali Sagar was also present on the occasion.
The delegations apprised the father-son duo of various issues concerning their respective sectors.
“No effort would be spared in resolving public grievances and ensuring the provision of basic amenities,” the delegates were told.
According to the JKNC statement, Sagar established contact with the concerned authorities on the spot and directed them to take immediate measures for the redressal of several issues.
