Pakistan Cricketers Bat for Their Hero Imran Khan, Show Support on Twitter

Islamabad, May 12: Several former and current Pakistani cricketers have come forward to register their support and solidarity with the former Prime Minister and cricketing legend Imran Khan.

‘Sultan of Swing’:

The left-arm legendary pacer and former skipper of Pakistan’s national cricket team Wasim Akram took to Twitter to support Imran Khan and deplored his arrest by the authorities.

“You are one man, but you have the strength of millions.
Stay strong skipper . #BehindYouSkipper,” Akram tweeted.

‘Burewala Express’:

Similarly, another fast bowling legend Waqar Younis minced no words and expressed support and solidarity with his former skipper and cricketing hero, Imran Khan.

Injustice at the end produces independence.More Power to you @ImranKhanPTI Lets protect our Leader & freedom #PakistanZindabad,” Younis wrote on Twitter.

Maverick fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar couldn’t stop himself to lend support to former cricketer-turned politician Imran Khan. He said it was tragic to see a cricketing icon being mistreated in such a manner.

“It’s a heart wrenching visual to see our national hero , @ImranKhanPTI being manhandled this way, considering he’s injured and has countless services for Pakistan, Where are we heading towards? Show some respect to our national hero’s plz🙏🙏🙏,” Akhtar wrote on Twitter.

Shaheen Shah Afridi, the current Pakistani player, changed his Twitter display picture and shared his old picture with Imran Khan to show his support.
