Srinagar: 17 July: The Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday (17 July) rejected the claim made by Jammu and Kashmir’s Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, in which he said his MLAs were being offered huge amounts of money to switch sides and split from the J&K National Conference (JKNC).
The saffron party said it has no interest whatsoever to topple the Omar Abdullah-led government.
Ashok Koul, J&K general secretary of the BJP, said the JKNC’s “internal problems are not our concern”.
“Their [JKNC] house is about to break, and they are trying to shift the blame on us. We have no interest in forming a government in J&K by breaking any party,” the BJP leader said.
