Member of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly and senior leader of the National Conference Bashir Veeri on Sunday laid the foundation stones for two sports infrastructure projects at the Nilandrus Stadium in South Kashmir’s Bijbehara town.
According to a statement issued by the JKNC, the projects will strengthen sports infrastructure in the region and offer improved facilities to budding sportspersons of the area.
Bashir Veeri, who spoke emotionally about the rationalisation of reservation policy, said he will continue working hard to upgrade sports infrastructure in his hometown.
According to Veeri, investment in sports infrastructure is an “investment in the future of young people”.
