Srinagar, 29 July: Authorities on Wednesday ordered the closure of schools in the Chenab Valley due to inclement weather warning till 2 August, the officials said.
Authorities said that schools in the Chenab Valley’s Doda and major parts of Kishtwar would remain shut “as a precautionary measure in the wake of adverse weather conditions”.
The school managements have been directed to continue online classes till the weather improves and schools reopened.
Reports pouring in from the Chenab Valley said “moderate to heavy rainfall began around 5 am in Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban.”
