West Indies 194/3 at Stumps on Day 1 Against Pakistan

Tarouba, 26 July: West Indies posted 194 runs on the board for the loss of three wickets on day one of the first test of the two-match series against Pakistan in Tarouba, with Kavem Hodge unbeaten on 83*.

For Pakistan, veteran seam bowler Mohammad Abbas took two wickets in his 19 overs, conceding only 44 runs. Aamer Jamal, an all-rounder, took a wicket but was expensive conceding 54 runs in 10 overs.

Pacers Khurram Shahzad and Mohammad Ali bowled economically but remained wicket less.

Earlier, West Indies test skipper Roston Chase won the toss and elected to bat first.

Opening batters Brandon King and Tagenarine Chanderpaul fell cheaply, scoring 12 and 21 respectively.

Amir Jangoo made 21 and fell to Mohammad Abbas.

Pakistan is being led by Babar Azam.

On day one of the first test, only 67 overs could be bowled due to interruptions caused by bad weather.
